Typically a steer will be sent for processing around 1100-1200lbs, based on the averages you the hanging weight will come out around 650-720lbs, then the carcass will be cut into desired cuts and ground beef estimating a take home weight around 425-470lbs
Not all calves enter the beef program, steers that do not meet our expectaction are not entered into our beef program and are sold at market.
Yes, we require a non-refundable deposit of $600 for a whole and $300 for a half. The deposit is due upon ordering to reserve the next avaialble processing date.
Typically, processing will take 2-3 weeks.
